Job summary

The School District of Philadelphia seeks a School Improvement and Data Specialist to provide direct support to Learning Networks and schools in improving instruction and planning outcomes. This role aligns with ESSA requirements and focuses on turning data into action to boost student achievement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of full-time, paid, professional educational experience with data review and interpretation.
• Experience with school planning, data analysis, and building relationships for outcomes.
• Commitment to serving for a minimum 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides intensive support to schools on the Action Planning process and monitors plan activities.
• Ensures instructional leadership and improvement teams are informed of PDE and District reporting requirements.
• Facilitates analysis of state and local assessment data to improve instruction and student achievement.
• Reviews assessment data with teachers and departments to target interventions.
• Uses PDE data tools (Emetric, PVAAS) and SchoolNet to support the Action Plan for Student Achievement.
