Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist I to support regional teams in enhancing quality through disciplined problem solving and data-driven decisions. You will work with multiple divisions to implement corrective actions and maintain clear communication throughout the problem-solving lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, math, statistics, or communications.
• 2+ years in project management, process improvement, or data analytics.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.
• Experience with Word, Excel and Access.
• Experience facilitating onsite external assessments.
• Internal auditor experience.
• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 9001 quality program.

Responsibilities

• Participating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and to brainstorm solutions.
• Performing data analysis, identifying trends and aligning KPIs.
• Encouraging and supporting employee engagement in problem-solving activities.
• Communicating current status and action plans for problem-solving efforts.
• Supporting business initiatives to meet operational objectives.
• Promoting the use of SEL's Quality Tools within assigned areas.
