Job summary

Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Responsibilities include PPAPs, audits, supplier quality, and training staff. This is a full-time on-site position focused on maintaining top-tier product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Quality/Lean experience preferred.
• Familiarity with SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Ability to interpret paperwork, part numbers, labels and packing lists.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure overall quality of manufactured products; test processes, monitor quality standards, create documentation, define test criteria.
• Create quality practices, work instructions (QWIs) and documentation to verify processes are performed correctly using the QMS.
• Perform and communicate required PPAPs and associated documents to support customer requirements.
• Conduct Random Process Audits to verify compliance and update QWIs as needed.
• Investigate quality issues and perform root-cause analysis with timely communication and corrective actions.
