Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL seeks an experienced Project Management/Principal Project Manager (Data Scientist) to join our Program Management Office. This individual contributor role supports reviews of project status, budgets, resource planning, meetings, and administrative functions.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (2 years PM or Master’s) or higher, strong data analytics skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; U.S. government Secret clearance is required or in process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience in project management OR Master’s degree
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data
• Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (in-scope or Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required

Responsibilities

• Support the program to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations
• Collaborate across functions to ensure all objectives are met
• Assist with monitoring cost & schedule performance, support business management meetings and reporting to program leadership
• Turn raw program data into timely, actionable insight that drives improved decision making and execution efficiency across the program
• Develop and implement data analytics tools/templates for monitoring project progress
• Partner with Program Managers and other key stakeholders to identify, design, and develop areas that will drive efficiency for the program
• Increase insight into prioritization and status of ongoing projects
