Job summary

Core & Main LP in St. Louis seeks a data analyst to gather disparate data sources, normalize data, and ensure high data quality for analysis.

You will prepare reports with charts and graphs, perform cost analyses, define data definitions, and present findings to stakeholders. This role requires a BS/BA in a related discipline and 2–3 years of related experience, plus proficiency with Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in a related field, or 1-2 years with MS/MA, and certification in some areas.
• Certification in specific areas.
• Minimum 18 years of age or older; pre-employment assessment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to assigned client in area of expertise.
• Gathers and compiles raw data; conducts research for industry trends and benchmarks; normalizes data to be incorporated into a centralized data format.
• Analyzes, reports, makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determines trends, and prepares cost analyses.
• Defines data definitions and documents data limitations.
• Prepares spreadsheets for data analysis; prepares reports with charts and graphs, mailing lists, maps, and ad hoc requests.
• May make presentations.
• Provides recommendations based on findings and analysis; provides input on policies and procedures.
• Participates in department and interdepartmental projects.
