SmartAsset is seeking a data-driven writer to shape brand presence and online reputation in the RIA and consumer finance spaces. You will research and publish personal finance data studies, then pitch and secure coverage with reporters, while overseeing reputation management across digital platforms.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in a public-facing writing role (PR, communications, journalism, content marketing, or wealth management marketing).
• Ability to write publishable copy on deadlines with a portfolio of work.
• Comfort interpreting data accurately and communicating numbers clearly to reporters.
• Familiarity with personal finance/fintech/wealth management topics.

Responsibilities

• Write original data studies each month from hypothesis and sourcing to draft.
• Pitch data studies to trade, financial, and consumer press; track placements.
• Edit data studies for accuracy, clarity, and pitch-readiness.
