Alter Trading Corporation, a global leader in metal recycling, seeks a detail-oriented Non-Ferrous Settlement Analyst in the St. Louis area.

You will support the trading team with daily administrative tasks, manage the copper position report, and assist in hedging activities while ensuring accurate contract details and strong data integrity. The role emphasizes precise data entry, contract drafting, and proactive communication with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented settlement analyst with strong data handling and reporting skills.
• Experience supporting trading teams with daily administrative tasks and data processing.
• Ability to apply pricing formulas, perform weight conversions, and monitor hedging processes.

Responsibilities

• Trade Administration & Position Management: organize market trade details and draft accurate contracts; guide shipments to admin team; maintain and reconcile the Copper Position Report; support hedging activities.
• Quality Claims & Conflict Resolution: review domestic/export quality claims; calculate claim values using contract pricing; monitor rejections and communicate details to yards or suppliers; negotiate claims professionally.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: generate reports from settlements; analyze data to identify trends; respond to real-time updates to maintain operations.
