Actalent is hiring an Inventory Control Planner in Fridley, MN, to lead data-driven optimization of multi-echelon inventory within a manufacturing setting.

The role involves analyzing SKU and aggregate data, implementing control procedures, and reporting findings to leadership, while collaborating with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance, and other teams to maximize inventory performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field as listed in job description.
• Experience with material analysis and material control in manufacturing.
• Experience in supply inventory management and data analysis.
• Familiarity with ERP and MRP system functionalities supporting inventory and production planning.
• APICS certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze SKU-level and aggregate inventory data to identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency.
• Review inventory, delivery, cost, and planning data to detect underperforming areas or trends.
• Apply multi-echelon inventory knowledge to evaluate performance and causes of underperformance.
• Perform root cause analysis on inventory issues and propose corrective actions.
• Identify bottlenecks, slow-moving inventory, and lead-time challenges to improve efficiency.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
• Create and present data-driven inventory reports to leadership with trends and risks.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance to improve inventory performance.
• Balance priorities to minimize sub-optimization of the overall inventory system.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems and analytics to support planning and decisions.
• Leverage data to align with supply chain and production planning requirements.
