Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC is a global consultancy providing data‑driven dispute resolution, investigations, and advisory services. We seek associates to support complex litigation, regulatory reviews, and data analyses across industries, with mentoring and hands‑on learning opportunities.

You will work with attorneys, expert witnesses, and client stakeholders to develop defensible analyses, create useful visuals, and deliver clear conclusions from large datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Statistics, Economics, or related fields.
• 1–4 years of experience providing litigation support services (highly preferred).
• Experience with SQL, Python, R, Stata, or SAS preferred; familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and BI/data visualization tools a plus.
• Strong quantitative, research, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
• Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Candidates must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the United States, without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Analyze accounting records, operational data, and other business information.
• Assist in matters involving healthcare reimbursement, claims payment, contract disputes, False Claims Act investigations, class actions, coverage disputes, and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Develop quantitative models to assess the financial impact of alleged conduct; create summaries, visualizations, and other analyses to communicate findings; organize, transform, validate, and analyze large datasets.
• Help prepare expert reports, trial demonstratives, presentations, exhibits, and other client deliverables.
• Support client interviews, fraud investigations, compliance reviews, discovery efforts, internal controls assessments, and risk mitigation work.
• Collaborate with professionals across finance, accounting, economics, technology, data management, and legal disciplines.
