Job summary

Plotwell Inc. is seeking a seasoned product designer to own the dashboard experience, including the upload flow and the read-from-file-to-understanding pathway. You will craft a cohesive chart system so every visualization feels like part of a single product.

You will maintain a disciplined visual language—hairlines, spacing, one indigo, one teal, amber only for outliers—and participate in customer calls to ensure the product matches real user needs.

Qualifications

• Five+ years designing software used to help people decide or act.
• A portfolio with at least one dense, data-heavy screen you are proud of.
• You build prototypes yourself, in code or close to it.
• You have opinions on charts and typography and can defend them.

Responsibilities

• Own the dashboard, the upload flow and the read-from-file-to-understanding path.
• Design the chart system so every type looks like it belongs to one product.
• Keep the visual system honest: hairlines, spacing, one indigo, one teal, amber only for outliers.
• Participate in customer calls; the watcher should be the designer who builds it.
