Job summary

Insight Global in Houston, TX seeks a Business Analyst II to support a large utility project focused on smart meter installation. You'll collect and analyze data from work orders and field operations to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and drive data-driven decisions.

As the project matures, you will extend analysis to real-time meter data (pressure, temperature, leaks) to identify anomalies and determine root causes, partnering with IT and operations to enable proactive insights.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar.
• Experience in SQL and Power BI.
• Experience organizing and modeling data to support insights.
• Experience supporting large IT deployment projects.
• Familiarity with Oracle and utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze data from active work orders and field operations.
• Develop insights and reporting around KPIs for gas operations.
• Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to standardize processes.
• Support real-time data analysis of smart meter data as the project matures.
