Job Summary

The Data Director is primarily responsible for managing ACE’s databases, CRM, and analytics, integrating data to provide insights that will power our outreach for global and US campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

1. Database & Warehouse Management (40%)
   • Oversee data architecture, automate pipelines, monitor errors
   • Optimize Salesforce CRM and SQL database architecture, manage objects/tables, workflows, data merging/cleaning, process builders
   • Collaborate with Data Team to identify and correct data anomalies, maintain data compliance tools, improve user experience
   • Design and implement table structures, relationships, integrations to enable accurate decision-making
   • Create data tracking processes, integrations, system updates with internal teams and third parties
   • Ensure all ETL pipelines feed into a central location for a comprehensive view of engagement
2. Data Visualization & Analysis (30%)
   • Develop interactive dashboards and reports from multiple data sources
   • Explore data to uncover insights, present findings to teams and funders
3. Team Management (30%)
   • Manage a small team and contractors
   • Coordinate with organization-wide teams to track and report relevant data
   • Recruit, onboard, and oversee staff to meet goals

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 8 years’ experience with digital marketing data
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with BigQuery, SQL, or data warehousing
• Experience with e-campaigning tools or CRMs like NGP/VAN, ActionKit, Salesforce NPSP, Raiser’s Edge
• Advanced Excel skills
• Proficiency in SQL/R/Python for data management
• Curiosity to learn new tools and trends
• Ability to understand application configurations and dependencies
• Strong presentation, documentation, analytical, and communication skills
• Passion for climate justice and environmental protection

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce CRM
• Experience in non-profit settings
• Certifications in Salesforce, database management, data analysis, fundraising
• Experience with AI applications
• Strong organizational and strategic skills
