Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end data engineering and application development initiatives. The role combines technical expertise, delivery management, Agile execution, and strong customer engagement.

You will manage day-to-day sprint activities, coordinate with stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and product owners to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery across distributed teams, releases, testing, and production readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in technology delivery, with at least 4 years in a technical delivery or program management role.
Demonstrated experience leading Agile teams and managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
Strong experience in requirements analysis, backlog management, user-story development, estimation, and sprint execution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer-management and stakeholder-engagement capabilities.
Proven ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and escalations in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day delivery across data engineering, application development, APIs, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
Manage Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Develop and maintain sprint plans, delivery schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource assignments.
Track tasks and user stories in Jira, ensuring clear ownership, acceptance criteria, estimates, and timely completion.
Work with customers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into well-defined features and user stories.
Partner with technical architects and engineering teams to validate solution approaches, estimates, and implementation plans.
Monitor delivery progress, identify potential delays, and drive timely resolution of technical and functional blockers.
Ensure teams meet commitments related to scope, schedule, quality, and performance.
Provide clear and concise status reporting to customer and internal leadership.
Coordinate across geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
Support release planning, testing, deployment, and production-readiness activities.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, engineering practices, and team productivity.
