Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research seeks a Data Coordinator in Fort Worth, TX. This role collects, enters, and transmits clinical data for investigational drug studies, ensuring accuracy and timely CRF completion.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 years of clinical data entry experience. Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful; CCRP/CCRC credentials are highly desirable. Travel up to 10% may be required.

  • Review patient data for completeness and accuracy for assigned studies.
  • Coordinate and schedule monitor visits and review data/queries.
  • Review and identify labs used for studies and notify Regulatory Affairs for lab certifications.

Job description

The START Center for Cancer Research (“START”) is the world’s largest early phase site network, fully dedicated to oncology clinical research. Throughout our history, START has provided hope to cancer patients in global community practices by offering“Hope Through Access”tocutting edgetrials throughout the UnitedStatesand Europe.

We areseekinga Data Coordinator. This role will collect, enter/transcribe, and transmit/submit clinical data for assigned investigational drug studies.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Location: 900 W. Magnolia AveSuite 200Fort Worth, Texas76104

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Collect, enter/transcribe, and transmit/submit clinical data in paper and/or electronic case report forms (CRFs), including correction and query resolution for assigned investigational drug studies.
  • Receive and request patient records/data from the study team asrequiredto complete CRFs for assigned studies.
  • Review patient data for completeness and accuracy for assigned studies.
  • Coordinate and schedule monitor visits for assigned studies.This includes exit meetings with monitors to review data or queries.
  • Identifylab facilities used for assigned studies and communicate to the Regulatory Affairs staff so that lab certifications can be requested for the study file.
  • Review andutilizeprotocols as guides for study activities for assigned studies.
  • Assure that data entryremainscurrent for all assigned studies.
  • Attend meetings asrequiredfor assigned studies.This includes, but is not limited to, site initiation meetings,monitorexit meetings, close-out visit meetings, and audit preparation meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned at any time.
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2 years of clinical data entry experience.
  • Knowledge and training in general office administration skills, including computerapplications,filing systems., etc.
PreferredEducationandExperience:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to accurately perform data review and CRF completion in its entirety with minimal direction.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • CCRP or CCRC credentials is highly desirable.
PhysicalandTravelRequirements:
  • Travelrequiredup to10% of the time.
  • Sittingfor extended periods of time.
  • Typing and computer use for extended periods of time.
