Job summary

The New York City Department of Correction (DOC) seeks a Community Coordinator for the Nunez Compliance Unit (NCU) to assist in meeting its obligations under the Nunez Consent Decree. The role involves preparing and conducting analyses, and developing audit tools to review department operations related to the Decree.

The incumbent will analyze trends, generate reports, and support the Federal Monitoring Team with timely, accurate data and documentation. Residency in NYC is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in community work or related duties.
• High school diploma and six years in community work or related duties.
• Equivalent combination with at least one year of experience as described.

Responsibilities

• Analyze adherence to DOC policies and procedures following Use of Force incidents and corrective actions.
• Assist in development and management of audit tools for the Nunez Consent Decree.
• Maintain and enhance dashboards/reports to present audit results to leadership.
• Generate reports and data for the Federal Monitoring Team as mandated by the Decree.
• Assist in compiling appendices for the bi-annual compliance report.
