Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial or industrial telecommunications systems.
• BICSI Installer certification or equivalent preferred.
• BICSI Technician certification preferred.
• Fiber optic, structured cabling, and CFOS/D certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Install telecommunications equipment, pathways, racks, and cable trays.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and network diagrams to perform work.
• Perform testing and certification using industry equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications cabling and equipment.
• Document results and maintain project records and inventory.
• Maintain compliance with codes and company safety standards.
• Train apprentices and entry-level technicians.
• Communicate project status with managers and customers.
