Applitrack is seeking a Data Coach to support school leaders in using data to inform instructional decisions and improvement efforts. The role focuses on ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable data across literacy, numeracy, and school conditions.

The position requires a certified teacher with 3 years of classroom experience, strong data skills, and the ability to coach staff, present data insights, and maintain privacy standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Attend monthly Data Coach meetings.
  • Participate in Tier 1 MTSS meetings and support.
  • Enter data and complete Data Analysis box of SIP template for Literacy, Numeracy, and Conditions.
  • Assist staff with accessing data and assessment platforms (logins/credentials).
  • Provide guidance to leaders and MTSS teams in retrieving and monitoring data from district platforms (e.g., My Data Zone, Tableau, Panorama).
  • Coordinate with testing coordinator on state and local assessments usage and data.
  • Analyze, interpret, and share disaggregated building-level data with leaders and MTSS teams.
  • Collaborate with MTSS Tiered Support Coach to ensure data availability for problem-solving.
  • Analyze student outcomes to identify disproportionality and inequities.
  • Help build capacity to analyze and interpret data.
  • Communicate effectively with administrators, teachers, and parents in writing and speech.
  • Practice data privacy and confidentiality of student records.

Function / Position Summary

Support staff in accessing, understanding, and using data systems to inform instructional and school improvement decisions by ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable data.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Attend required monthly district Data Coach meetings.
  • Attendance and participation in Tier 1 MTSS meetings and support.
  • Support school improvement efforts by entering data and completing the Data Analysis box of the SIP template for Literacy, Numeracy, and Conditions prior to each 45 day cycle.
  • Support school staff in accessing data and assessment platforms (i.e. login/credentials).
  • Provide technical guidance to building leaders, MTSS teams, and other building teams in retrieving and progress monitoring academic, behavioral, and attendance data from district platforms (i.e. My Data Zone, Tableau, Panorama).
  • Coordinate with the building testing coordinator regarding the implementation and data utilization for both state and local assessments, serving as a liaison to the Assessment Department.
  • Analyze, interpret, and share disaggregated building-level academic, attendance, and behavioral data with building leaders, MTSS teams, and other building teams.
  • Collaborate with the MTSS Tiered Support Coach to ensure teams have the data needed for effective problem solving.
  • Analyze student outcomes with a focus on identifying disproportionality and supporting equitable access to interventions.
  • Help build capacity in building leaders and teams to analyze and interpret data.
  • Provide effective communication with administrators, principals, teachers and parents, both orally and in writing.
  • Use best practices in data privacy and confidentiality of student records.
Education
  • Certified Teacher with 3 years of teaching experience in environments with verifiably strong evidence of opportunity, access, and support success with students of cultural and linguistic diverse backgrounds.
Experience / Knowledge
  • Ability to provide professional learning and coach teachers and other building staff.
  • High interest in creating data presentations and sharing with building staff: including but not limited to SIP, MTSS, and grade level teams.
  • Time available throughout the year to coach and support teachers in instructional/operational applications and hardware.
  • Ability to simplify and present ideas to an audience of varying skill levels.
  • Familiarity with all local and state assessments.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with principal, colleagues, building staff and district staff.
  • High interest in learning to understand student proportionality data analysis, and its use in identifying areas of inequities (like opportunity, access or support) that need to be addressed.
  • Motivated to learn to disaggregate, interpret, and analyze assessment data.
  • Considerable knowledge of Board policies and district/county/state procedures and standards regarding K-12 education.
  • Work experience within U-46
  • Previous experience teaching, coaching, and providing professional development for adult educators
  • Strong knowledge of analytical software, including spreadsheets.
  • Strong computer skills and interest in new technologies.
  • Familiarity with all local and state assessments.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to meet the demands of additional teaching and coaching.
  • Must be able to work in front of a computer monitor for multiple hours at a time.

Terms of Employment
  • District-sponsored professional learning sessions will occur at Education Service Center or Welcome Center.
  • Coach-led professional learning sessions and coaching will occur at each coach's respective school.
