Megaport, a remote-first tech company, is seeking a Data Centre Procurement Officer to help shape Americas data centre strategy through procurement, market intelligence, and supplier management. You’ll work with Finance, Network Engineering, and Operations to optimise costs, build business cases, and negotiate with data centre operators, enabling scalable, cost‑efficient growth across the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement, vendor management, or data-centre related roles.
• Experience managing contracts and suppliers across multiple vendors or regions.
• Commercial understanding of data centre services and network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with networking concepts preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including budgeting or cost analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to work independently across different time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support data centre strategy, procurement, and commercial activities across the Americas.
• Collaborate with regional teams in EMEA and APAC.
• Prepare business cases to support expansion and cost optimisation.
• Assist with supplier negotiations and contract discussions.
• Contribute to annual data centre COGS budgeting.
• Produce monthly COGS reporting with insights.
• Provide KPI reporting on data centre and network costs.
• Maintain market intelligence on operators, facilities, pricing.
• Keep procurement records up to date.
• Support special projects and initiatives as directed.
