Job summary

Turner & Townsend are seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to lead pre-construction activities for data centre development projects, including planning, design coordination, cost management, procurement support, risk assessment, and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will ensure projects are fully prepared for construction execution while meeting technical, commercial, and operational requirements, with seniority levels for Assistant Manager and Manager and a strong background in data

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 5-8 years of project, engineering, construction, or infrastructure experience.
• Exposure to data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale building projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction activities from initiation to construction start.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders on planning and design development.
• Review architectural, civil, structural, and MEP designs to ensure compliance with data centre standards and project requirements.
• Support budgeting, cost estimation, value engineering, and procurement planning.
• Drive tendering processes, vendor evaluations, and contract award recommendations.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans. Internal Only
• Track project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
• Facilitate design reviews and maintain effective stakeholder communication.
