Job summary

Oradeo Recruitment seeks an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial management on major construction projects in Frankfurt, Germany. You will oversee contract administration, cost control, valuations and financial reporting, and you will mentor a team of contract surveyors while coordinating with procurement and planning.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience, chartered status or working towards SCSI, and strong IT and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ commercial experience, preferably with a main contractor.
• Experience on construction or civil engineering projects across sectors such as residential, RC frame, retail and commercial.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
• Proven experience in commercial management, contract administration, valuations and cost control.
• Experience mentoring commercial teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Excellent IT skills with relevant reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, and cost reconciliations for contracts and subcontracts.
• Provide timely information for cash flow reviews and contractual positions.
• Prepare and place subcontracts in collaboration with Procurement.
• Identify anomalies or risks in contract documentation.
• Prepare interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
• Produce quantity take-offs for Estimating, Procurement and Planning.
• Prepare contract final accounts and agree with client representatives.
• Maintain records of contractual delays and project information.
• Lead and mentor Contract Surveyors and junior staff.
• Oversee commercial performance and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
