Job summary

Oradeo Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager Civils for a leading construction contractor in Dublin. You will oversee commercial management of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects, including contract administration, cost control, valuations, and final accounts, while developing the wider commercial team.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience, chartered or working towards SCSI, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years’ relevant commercial experience.
Experience on civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of valuations, cost control, cash flow and final accounts.
Chartered or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent IT skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, interim and final valuations and payments for contracts, subcontractors and suppliers.
Provide information for regular cash flow reviews and contract positions.
Place subcontract agreements in collaboration with Procurement.
Review contract documents for discrepancies or anomalies.
Prepare interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
Generate quantity take-offs for Estimating, Procurement and Planning.
Prepare final accounts for completed works and obtain client agreement.
Maintain records of contractual delays.
Mentor and develop Contract Surveyors and junior staff.
