Oradeo Recruitment seeks an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial management on major construction projects in Frankfurt, Germany. You will oversee contract administration, cost control, valuations and financial reporting, and you will mentor a team of contract surveyors while coordinating with procurement and planning.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience, chartered status or working towards SCSI, and strong IT and stakeholder skills.

Competenze

• Minimum of 10 years’ commercial experience, preferably with a main contractor.
• Experience on construction or civil engineering projects across sectors such as residential, RC frame, retail and commercial.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
• Proven experience in commercial management, contract administration, valuations and cost control.
• Experience mentoring commercial teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Excellent IT skills with relevant reporting software.

Mansioni

• Prepare monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, and cost reconciliations for contracts and subcontracts.
• Provide timely information for cash flow reviews and contractual positions.

Oradeo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading construction contractor on major projects in Frankfurt, Germany. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, overseeing contractual obligations, cost control, valuations and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to lead and develop a commercial team while contributing to the successful delivery of major construction projects across a range of sectors.

Commercial Manager Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, and reconciliations of valuations and costs for contracts, subcontractors, specialists and suppliers.
• Provide accurate and timely information to enable regular reviews of cash flow and contractual positions.
• Work alongside the Procurement Manager to prepare and place subcontracts for works under their control, where required.
• Conduct detailed examinations of contract documentation and identify any anomalies or potential commercial risks.
• Prepare, submit and agree interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
• Prepare all necessary quantity take-offs in advance of requirements from the Estimating, Procurement and Planning departments.
• Prepare contract final accounts for each completed section of works, including all relevant adjustments, and submit and agree these with client representatives.
• Maintain accurate records of contractual delays and associated project information.
• Manage, lead and mentor Contract Surveyors, Assistant Surveyors and Junior Surveyors, supporting their professional development and performance.
• Oversee commercial performance and ensure effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Necessary Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years’ commercial experience, preferably working with a main contractor.
• Previous experience on construction or civil engineering projects across sectors such as residential, reinforced concrete frame (RC frame), retail and commercial, pharmaceutical, Data Centre or high-tech developments.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI).
• Proven experience in commercial management, contract administration, valuations and cost control.
• Previous experience managing or mentoring commercial teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in relevant commercial and reporting software.
