Job summary

Riot Platforms Inc. is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer to join our Rockdale, Texas team. You will operate and maintain essential electrical and mechanical systems to ensure uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced data center environment.

You will troubleshoot complex systems, apply safety practices, and utilize asset management tools to drive reliability. The role may require day, swing, or night shifts depending on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0–2+ years in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or technical maintenance (internship/trade school acceptable).
• Trade certification or state licensure in Electrical or HVAC is preferred.
• Experience in data centers or similar critical environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on operations and maintenance across electrical or mechanical systems to ensure uptime and safety.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot facility systems including HVAC, UPS, generators, and control environments.
• Complete work orders accurately in the asset management system and respond to events using documented procedures.
• Monitor control room systems, diagnose alerts, and identify risks or inefficiencies.
• Coordinate onsite maintenance activities with vendors and contractors, ensuring safety and site standards.
