Job summary

Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) is seeking a Data Center Thermal Solutions Engineer to lead design, analysis, prototyping, and testing of thermal products for data center applications.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, and customer engineers to develop cooling solutions that meet performance, cost, and reliability goals. Projects range from iterative improvements to clean-sheet development and advanced testing.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in thermal systems product development.
• Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with CFD tools like Ansys Fluent or Autodesk CFD.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC, brazing, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop thermal management products from concept to production (e.g., cold plates, heat exchangers, CDUs, air-to-liquid systems).
• Perform CFD/FEA simulations to optimize performance and reliability.
• Conduct prototyping, testing, and validation of thermal systems.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and architectures.
• Manage customer experience through status updates and project management.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to generate proposals and content.
• Create detailed CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation including test reports.
