Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Telecom to bridge design and construction on major industrial projects. You’ll coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop bid packages and ensure constructability for telecom and low voltage work on site.

The role requires up to 50% travel across the U.S., with opportunities near US offices. A Bachelor’s in engineering, 8+ years in electrical or 15+ years in construction management, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical drawings for constructability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns related to engineering drawings and specs.
• Identify opportunities for schedule and cost savings based on design and modularization potential.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage for sequencing and build-out.
• Assist with reviews of Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability and impacts on packages.
