Job summary

Bala Consulting Engineers in Wayne, PA is seeking a Systems Specialist – Technology to design, document, and coordinate building technology systems with a focus on telecommunications for data center projects.

The role partners with the enterprise technology team, interfaces with clients and architects, and requires REVIT and AutoCAD drawings, coordination with AV and Security teams, and QA/QC across Bala's offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant engineering, design, or management discipline.
• History of continuing education and certification on technology design for the built environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Prior data center experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and document telecommunications systems, including wiring and room layouts.
• Coordinate with Bala’s Audiovisual & Security teams.
• Develop basis-of-design narratives and performance criteria.
• QA/QC on technology related projects and support across Bala offices.
• Assist project managers on design and documentation as workload requires.
