LightEdge is seeking a Data Center Operations Tier 1 Technician to monitor and manage building systems and physical infrastructure at our Altoona, IA facilities. You will follow SOPs to maintain power, HVAC, biometric security, and fire suppression while ensuring codes and audit standards are met.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or 1-4 years in a technical environment.
• Experience with network cabling termination- Ethernet, CAT6, Fiber.
• Familiarity with day-to-day data center maintenance activities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with data center equipment with vendors.
• Install servers and networking gear into racks with cabling.
• Assist in facilitating new client service installations with project managers.
• Receive and document incoming shipments for the data center.
• Respond to alarm events affecting infrastructure and services.
• Follow Change Control processes and review MOPs for activities.
• Assist in design layout, installation, and documentation of racks and cages.
• Support on-call rotation to cover non-business hours and oversee maintenance.
