Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to install, operate, and maintain data center infrastructure in Chicago. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and documentation, following engineering designs and procedures.

The role requires 1+ year of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure, strong attention to safety and quality, and the ability to work independently on standard deployment tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required.
• 1+ year of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, and networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment and related infrastructure.
• Install and manage copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components, and configure OOB management.
• Perform basic testing and validation including continuity and fiber verification.
• Execute MACD activities and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and as-built documentation.
