Job summary

Reboot Monkey seeks a Data Center Technician to install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment at a Cedar Falls data center. This full-time, on-site role supports critical infrastructure with standard business hours and on-call rotation.

You will perform structured cabling, respond to incidents, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure uptime. The position requires 3+ years in data center operations, with certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Experience with Cat6/6a and fiber optic cabling.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
