Job summary

Reboot Monkey is hiring a Data Center Technician for an on-site role in Cedar Knolls. You will install, configure, and maintain critical server and network equipment, perform structured cabling, and manage deployments and decommissions.

The position requires 3+ years in data center operations, strong cabling skills, and solid documentation. Certifications in data center domains and vendor networks are preferred. Expect standard hours with on-call rotation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities.
• Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
