Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Data Center Technician to join its IT Infrastructure team in Wisconsin. You will build and maintain data centers, deploy and support servers, networks, HVAC and power systems, and ensure uptime for mission-critical systems.

The role requires experience with enterprise IT hardware, DCIM tools, and strong Linux command skills. You will work with multiple vendor hardware and participate in after-hours incident response and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • Data center or enterprise IT hardware experience.
  • Willingness to work overtime and on-call.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. per ITAR/space regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and resolve DC incidents across multiple data centers.
  • Manage lifecycle for data center hardware including deployment, operation, maintenance and decommission.
  • Rack and cable data center equipment.
  • Track storage of incoming equipment and update asset records.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and QA testing.
  • Update interconnect drawings, rack layouts and procedures.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and power/cooling for optimal server operation.
  • Maintain data and analytics for reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with supply chain to procure and manage inventory.
