Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Data Center Technician II for a Federal Client, onsite in Vienna, VA. The role involves installing IT hardware, cabling, and coordinating power and cooling needs within a data center environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in data center hardware installation, familiarity with BICSI standards, and relevant certifications. U.S. citizenship and TS clearance with SCI-CI eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of data center hardware and cable installation experience.
• Knowledge of National Standards for data center IT infrastructure (BICSI, TIA-606, TIA-942).
• Installer 2 for Copper and Fiber (INSTC/INSTF) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate infrastructure requirements and coordinate resources for equipment installation.
• Coordinate facilities resources for high voltage storage equipment requiring redundant power.
• Provision cabling, racks, and mounting hardware for IT devices and systems.
• Perform end-to-end fiber and copper cable installations and cabling management.
• Troubleshoot and replace failed components to restore operation with engineering support.
• Maintain configuration changes and inventory in data center systems.
