Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Virginia is seeking InfraDelivery Install Technicians to transform network infrastructure through hands-on hardware installation, cabling, and proactive maintenance at our data centers in Virginia.

You will travel to data centers, install equipment, follow safety standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep our global network running securely. A Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance is required; a relocation lump sum may be provided.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of experience in a data center or critical environment or similar technical roles
• Experience with network cabling, copper and optical fiber, switches and routers
• 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR, etc.)
• Current, active U.S. Government security clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities

• Move and install large enterprise equipment
• Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment
• Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation
• Follow well-established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities
• Safely use material handling tools and equipment
• Travel within and outside of the regional work area as required
