Job Summary
Full‑time position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability and desire to take what they currently know and to grow their skills and responsibilities over time. An interest in and strong familiarity with computers/IT is required, and 2‑3 years of experience in related tasks is needed. The role involves deploying and maintaining servers and supporting infrastructure in a fast‑paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities, providing customer support via an email/ticketing system, and troubleshooting problems. Previous technical support experience is required.
Additional Information
- Available to work weekdays and weekends.
- Shifts available: 3rd shift (graveyard) and mixed shifts.
- Position requires on‑site work and occasional overtime.
- Initial training two weeks during 1st shift (9 am to 5 pm).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Lift heavy equipment/items up to 50 pounds.
- Work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Fix and install sophisticated circuits and perform custom installations.
- Rack and stack customer equipment.
- Read installation plans (Visio drawings, spreadsheets) and implement installations accordingly.
- Install circuits requiring sophisticated fiber terminations.
- Resolve work priorities from a ticketing queue and ensure consistency across all tasks.
- Troubleshoot switched, multiplexed, or media‑converted circuits; escalating to and working with a networking group as needed.
- Work with customers to troubleshoot issues.
- Install, test, and modify cross‑connects per SOPs, ensuring accurate cable management of coax, fiber, twisted‑pair copper, and intra‑building cross‑connects.
- Maintain detailed written records of all work activity.
- Design and lead cage/infrastructure modification projects.

- Understanding of structured cabling design, installation, testing, and best practices.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
