Job summary

Syncreon Consulting seeks a hands-on Data Center Technician to support hardware replacement, troubleshooting, and installation in a fast-paced data center environment. You will handle rack-mounted hardware, perform swaps, and follow detailed procedures to ensure uptime and reliability.

Ideal candidates bring experience with HDD/SSD, RAM/DIMM, PSU, CPU, motherboard, NIC, fans, and RAID, plus strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently in Centennial, CO.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as Data Center Technician or similar.
• Experience with server/hardware replacement.
• Proven break/fix and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with rack-mounted and/or blade servers.
• Knowledge of HDD/SSD, RAM/DIMM, PSU, CPU, motherboard, NIC, fans, and RAID.
• Experience with rack & stack, cabling, labeling, and installation/removal.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and hardware documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware swaps and replacements in data center environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues to maintain uptime.
• Work with rack-mounted servers and ensure proper cabling and labeling during installations.
• Follow technical procedures and hardware documentation.
• Assist with installation/removal and equipment setup in racks.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
• Work independently in a fast-paced data center setting.
