Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to support critical IT infrastructure in a data center environment in Robbinsville, NJ. The role involves hardware deployment, fault diagnosis, asset management, and routine operational tasks to maximize uptime.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of hands-on IT or data center experience, familiarity with Windows 11 and Linux, and the ability to follow SOPs and work in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and operating systems.
• Knowledge of Windows 11 and Linux OS.
• Imaging, configuring, and deploying laptops and support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, cable, and decommission servers, network devices, and storage equipment.
• Perform hardware break/fix activities including replacement of disks, memory, power supplies, NICs.
• Execute SOPs, maintenance tasks, and change management requests.
• Respond to high-priority incidents impacting data center infrastructure.
• Image, configure, and deploy laptops and support equipment within the data center.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application issues; provide printer/peripheral support.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity validation; manage cabling.
