Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a contract/freelance on-site role in Morrisville, NC. You will support mission-critical infrastructure, perform hardware installations, cabling, and server rack operations while coordinating with remote NOC and client teams.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data center/IT infrastructure, strong cabling and server hardware skills, and professional English communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional English communication; on-site work requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber).
• Rack, stack, and label servers.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document work with photos and notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
