Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. You will monitor Mechanical & Engineering systems and respond to BMS alarms, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will complete planned and reactive maintenance, document records, and support site inspections with meter readings from UPS and PDU equipment. Some weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with 1-2 years of job-related experience; apprenticeship accepted.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills to calculate percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and laws.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Take meter readings from UPS/PDUs and utilities during walkthroughs.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and document maintenance records.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements; complete training as needed.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures under supervision.
