Job summary

Syncreon Consulting is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Memphis, TN data center team. You will perform hands-on hardware swaps, component replacements, and routine maintenance on rack-mounted and blade servers, adhering to procedures and safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have proven break/fix and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced DC, with the ability to read technical docs and work independently to ensure uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center hardware experience required; able to swap components and troubleshoot.
• Familiar with rack-mounted and blade servers and associated components (HDD/SSD, RAM, PSU, CPU, NIC, fans).
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and hardware documentation.
• Proven break/fix and troubleshooting capabilities in a fast-paced DC environment.
• Ability to perform rack & stack, cabling, labeling, equipment installation/removal with accuracy.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience as a Data Center Technician, Server Technician, Hardware Technician, or similar role.
• Strong experience with server/hardware replacement and hardware swaps.
• Proven break/fix and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working with rack-mounted and/or blade servers.
• Knowledge of server components including HDD/SSD, RAM/DIMM, PSU, CPU, motherboard, NIC, fans, and RAID.
• Experience with rack & stack, cabling, labeling, and equipment installation/removal.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and hardware documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced data center environment.
