Job summary

Intepros is seeking a Data Center Technician to help keep our global cloud infrastructure running. The role is 24/7 and requires the ability to work independently and with a diverse team, with strong prioritization and communication skills.

Travel within and outside the regional work area is required. You will install server racks, troubleshoot hardware and network issues, take on-call duties, support maintenance/change management, and aid documentation.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Serve as a primary contact for engineers, developers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Take on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management.
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvements.
  • Train and onboard new team members.
  • Own technical issues, solve problems at the root, and maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting.

Job description

Help keep global cloud infrastructure running. You'll maintain data center operations that power millions of businesses and services worldwide. The role is 24/7, works both independently and as part of a diverse, collaborative team, and requires strong prioritization, communication, and quick reaction. Travel within and outside the regional work area is required.

Responsibilities
  • Install server racks, perform hardware break-fix, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to incidents affecting service availability, escalating as needed
  • Serve as a primary contact for engineers, developers, vendors, and contractors
  • Take on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvements
  • Train and onboard new team members
  • Own technical issues, solve problems at the root, and maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting
Physical and Schedule Requirements
  • Work in cramped or elevated spaces, climb ladders and stairs, and stand or walk 8+ hours a day
  • Work in a noisy environment
  • Work shifts longer than 8 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license (no company transportation is provided)
  • Travel or commute to active data center sites as needed, including temporary assignments for training if your site is still under development
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of network design, protocols, and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Networking Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing priorities through a ticketing system
  • Experience in a data center or other critical environment
