Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, USA, is seeking a Data Center Associate (B shift 2pm-10:30pm) to assemble and install servers and electronic components, and manage inventory in our datacenter.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand and power tools, and strong attention to safety. You will work with racks, cabling, and various equipment, ensuring accurate part numbers and 5S compliance while supporting cross-department tasks.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience is required.
• Experience with computers is required.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight.
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders.
• Place server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy.
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks by following diagrams.
• Install rack hardware using hand, power and measuring tools.
• Operate material handling equipment like straddle stackers and electric pallet jacks.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and 5s standards.
