Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics seeks a Data Center Dock Associate (A Shift M-F 6am-2:30pm) at our USA – Lancaster datacenter. You will assemble and install servers and electronic components, manage inventory, and ensure quality and safety in daily operations.

You will work with hand tools, power tools and laser measuring devices, performing routine counts and supporting multiple departments while maintaining 5S standards and strong customer service with internal partners.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
• Critical thinking abilities and good analytical skills are needed for confident decisions.
• Experience with computers is required.
• 1-3 years of related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Perform quality checks on inbound/outbound freight, checking for accurate part numbers and conditions.
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site at the datacenter.
• Process return shipments of various electronic components utilizing multiple warehouse management systems.
• Place server racks on the datacenter floor utilizing laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy.
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks by following diagrams and schematics.
• Install rack hardware using various hand, power and measuring tools.
• Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks.
• Perform cleanup activities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and 5S standards.
• Push, pull and lift frequently throughout the workday.
