Our client, a leading organization in data center operations, is seeking a Data Center Technician 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician 1, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Data Center Support Team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Technician 1
Location: Midland/Odessa, Texas
Pay Range: $28-37/hour, based on experience
What's the Job?
Install and cable servers, switches, storage systems, and related infrastructure.
Perform rack-and-stack activities following approved designs and standards.
Execute basic hardware break-fix tasks including drive, power supply, and memory replacements.
Label, document, and maintain cabling and asset records.
Support server bring-up activities and equipment testing.
What's Needed?
6 months to 2 years of data center experience.
Basic understanding of computer hardware and cabling.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a data center environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures.
Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, as part of a 24/7 operation.
