Job summary

Next Level Technician is hiring a Data Center Technician in Atlanta, GA. Earn $22–$26/hr with weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities to work on data center and structured cabling projects. The role supports access control, CCTV, AV, and fiber optic systems across the Atlanta metro area.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of low voltage experience, familiarity with structured cabling, and the ability to travel locally to sites. PPE and basic hand tools are required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of commercial or industrial low voltage experience.
• Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred.
• Basic PPE and hand tools required (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Test installed cable using Fluke or similar testers.
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, and MDF/IDF infrastructure.
• Read blueprints, floor plans, and system layouts.
• Assist with access control, CCTV, AV, and fiber optic systems.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling
• Test installed cable using Fluke or similar certification testers
• Punch down voice and data jacks
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, and MDF/IDF infrastructure
• Safely operate ladders and lifts; must be comfortable working at heights
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and system layouts
• Assist with the installation and support of access control, CCTV, audio/visual, and fiber optic systems

Requirements

• At least 6 months of commercial or industrial low voltage experience
• Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred
• BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus
• Must have basic hand tools and required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots
• Basic understanding of telecommunications and data network fundamentals
• Ability to travel locally to job sites throughout the Atlanta, GA, metropolitan area as needed
