We are seeking motivated Data Center Technicians to join a rapidly growing cloud infrastructure team. This unique opportunity allows candidates to begin their onboarding and training in the Columbus area before transitioning to a newly established data center facility located south of Columbus once operations are fully launched. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in data center operations, server hardware support, networking, and cloud infrastructure. Technicians will gain hands‑on experience supporting enterprise‑scale technology environments while contributing to the growth of one of the world’s largest cloud computing networks.
Begin your role working alongside an established team at an existing Columbus-area data center.
Receive hands‑on training, mentorship, and exposure to data center operations.
Transition to a newly opened facility south of Columbus as business needs require.
Play a key role in helping support and scale a growing cloud infrastructure environment.
Gain valuable experience with enterprise server hardware, networking equipment, and critical infrastructure operations.
Troubleshoot and perform break/fix repairs on server and networking hardware.
Rack, stack, cable, and deploy new equipment.
Replace and repair components including motherboards, CPUs, memory, power supplies, storage devices, and network interface cards.
Perform fiber optic troubleshooting and connectivity testing.
Follow established safety procedures, operational standards, and documentation requirements.
Create and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Support infrastructure upgrades, maintenance activities, and operational projects.
Partner with technicians, engineers, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
Participate in on‑call support as needed.
Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking fundamentals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Reliable transportation and willingness to work.
Ability to pass a background check.
Experience with computer repair, server hardware, field service, or technical support.
Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with networking concepts and fiber optic cabling.
Previous experience in a data center, telecom, military, electronics repair, help desk, desktop support, or related technical environment.
CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or similar certifications.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in large-scale data center environments, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces when necessary.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.
The pay range for this position is $22.63 - $22.63/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
