Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, USA is seeking a Data Center Team Lead for the Dock shift (M-Th 8pm–6:30am). You will manage material orders, customer service, and inventory, and you will assemble and install servers and components using various hand tools and measuring devices.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, strong interpersonal skills, and knowledge of electrical safety.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
• Regular interaction with customers and other stakeholders on site at the datacenter.
• Critical thinking and strong analytical skills to make informed decisions based on data.
• Experience with computers is required.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols is needed for live electrical/electronic equipment work.
• 1-3 years of related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, ensuring correct part numbers and quantities.
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical parts on site.
• Process return shipments of electronic components using warehouse management systems.
• Install server racks on the datacenter floor with precise measurements.
• Populate components and cabling into server racks following diagrams and schematics.
• Install rack hardware using hand, power and measuring tools.
• Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers and electric pallet jacks.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas in line with 5S standards.
