Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. seeks a hands-on Systems Test and Validation Engineer to support data center GPU products for AI, ML, and HPC workloads.

You will develop manufacturing test strategies, diagnostics, and automation that enable efficient product introduction and high-volume production. You will collaborate with hardware, software, architecture, design, and manufacturing teams to bring up platforms, resolve system-level issues, improve yield and quality, and deliver scalable test

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive manufacturing test strategies for new products and features.
• Define scalable board- and system-level hardware test methodologies and manufacturing processes.
• Lead system bring-up and debug of complex hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing issues during product build phases.
• Develop and support automated diagnostic generation, test content, and validation infrastructure using Python and other scripting languages.
• Review product designs during early development and provide Design for Testability (DFT) recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to improve test coverage, yield, quality, production efficiency, and product reliability.
• Identify and lead product and process improvement initiatives that reduce manufacturing cost and resolve quality issues.
• Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Analyze complex and non-recurring technical problems and lead significant improvements to existing processes and methods.
• Support manufacturing partners during new product introduction, production ramp, and sustaining phases.
• Influence technical direction across hardware, software, architecture, design, and manufacturing organizations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships across geographically distributed teams.
