Job summary

Newmark is seeking an on-site Data Center Operations Engineer in Albany, NY. You will maintain critical mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems for information infrastructure and respond to faults or emergencies to ensure continuous operation.

You will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, document conditions, and coordinate with contractors. A minimum of five years in data center ops and safety training are required, with CFC certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of data center operations experience.
• CFC certification – a plus.
• Proficient with BAS and EPMS.
• Must complete safety classes related to job duties.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, security and fire protection systems for data centers.
• Identify faults and respond to operational and emergency situations.
• Comply with Federal, State and Local codes and standards.
• Perform preventative tests and analyze data to ensure proper operation of base building equipment.
• Monitor operations and adjust chilled water systems, HVAC, electrical and backup systems.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and reports for systems.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for work orders; maintain logs.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics; follow SOP and change control processes.
• Interact with all parts of the organization to handle service requests.
• Maintain organized building files.
