Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking interns to support design reviews and life-cycle services for new data centers. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team to troubleshoot issues, contribute to procedural improvements, and ensure safety and reliability across sites.

This full-time internship requires 40 hours per week, is located in the United States, and includes structured mentorship. Starting dates vary by season, with opportunities across multiple hubs and campus locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics, or Thermodynamics.
• Valid and active driver’s license.
• Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the United States.
• Are 18 years of age or older.
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12 week internship maximum.
• Can relocate to where the internship is based.
• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other equivalent technical discipline, with an expected conferral date between October 2027 – December 2030.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
• Interface with internal data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
• Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
