Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Austin, TX (and other sites) seeks Electrical/Mechanical engineering interns to support data center design, equipment submittals, and incident analysis.

You will work with cross-functional teams, perform life-cycle support from design to maintenance, and gain hands-on experience with power and cooling systems. Applicants must be enrolled in a US-accredited program, pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with expected graduation between Oct

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics, or Thermodynamics.
• Enrolled in academic program located in the United States.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12 week internship maximum.
• Relocate to where the internship is based.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, with expected conferral between Oct 2027–Dec 2030.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot and conduct RCA for site/equipment failures.
• Direct support for operational issues with training and SOP reviews.
• Interface with data center design engineering, server hardware, and safety teams to ensure standards.
• Work on concurrent projects across multiple regions.
